How to Customize Your Chatbot

Customizing your chatbot allows you to create a unique experience that aligns with your brand identity. Follow these steps to personalize your bot effectively:

1. Access the Settings

  • Hover over the Settings tab and navigate to the Appearance section.

2. Choose a Theme

You have several options for your bot's appearance:

  • iOS Dark: A black background for a sleek look.
  • Neutral: A balanced option.
  • Custom: For those who want to mix and match colors according to their brand's identity.

3. Header Customization

  • Toggle the Enable Button: Activate the header.
  • Header Title: Change the default "AI Chatbot" to the name of your chatbot.
  • Title Text: Select a color that contrasts well for readability.
  • Background and Shadow: Customize the header background and shadow to enhance visibility.
  • Reset Button: Ensure the reset button is visible for user convenience.

4. Status Indicator

  • Enable Status: Toggle to activate the status feature.
  • Status Title: Change the default "Online" to any title of your choice.
  • Status Color: Pick a color that fits your branding.

5. Chat Background and Reset Button

  • Choose colors for the chat background. 

6. Chat Bubbles

  • Bot Bubble Background: Adjust the color (e.g., white) for visibility.
  • Bot Bubble Text: Choose a darker color for the text to ensure readability.
  • User Bubble Background and Text: Select complementary colors for user bubbles.

7. Chat Input Customization

  • Placeholder Text: Modify the default "Type your message" to something more engaging.
  • Background, Text Color, and Border: Choose colors that align with your design.

8. Send Button

  • Toggle the Enable Button: Activate the send button.
  • Customize Background Color and Icon: Choose colors that match your theme.

9. Feedback Section

  • Customize the feedback background color and icon to fit your branding.

10. Powered by ChatNode

  • This option allows you to display a "Powered by ChatNode" label in the header, signifying the technology behind your chatbot. This can enhance credibility and brand recognition. You can choose to enable or disable this feature, allowing you to achieve a more custom white label feeling for your business.

    • Enable: Show the "Powered by ChatNode" label to highlight the technology behind your chatbot.
    • Disable: Hide the label for a more personalized and branded experience.

 

11. Suggested Questions Buttons

  • You can include buttons for suggested questions directly. These buttons provide users with quick access to common inquiries, improving user experience by facilitating easy navigation and encouraging engagement.

12. Avatar Upload

  • Upload an avatar image that represents your chatbot. Ensure it does not exceed 1 MB and is in PNG, SVG, JPG, JPEG, or GIF format.

13. Pop-up Button Settings

  • Choose whether to open the chat window by default and adjust the button placement.
  • Upload an image for the button with the same file size and format restrictions.

14. Pop-up Message Customization

  • Write the desired pop-up message.
  • Decide on the placement of the message and customize its background, text color, and glow color.

15. Save Your Changes

  • After making all the necessary customizations, ensure you click the Save button to apply your changes.
